It was another day of being a semi-responsible adult. Maybe it was a little different I did make my to do list in hospital waiting room.

Let me back up — my partner decided to do the responsible thing and have an outpatient surgery. That the fates decided should happen on the same day as my turn for the Year in Philadelphia Diary. So we began the day taking the bus and enjoying the Philly skyline.

Made sure we got before and after pictures - for our respective family groups and of course for all of you.

Next, got my slightly woozy partner home. My love language might be like a true Indian aunty - stuffing people with food. So it was time to make my partner his requested post-surgery meal. His favourite thanksgiving sides.

Then I remembered that I was a grad student and had some readings to do. And forgot to get more pictures for all of you. It was reading time till it was cocoa time. Cocoa was enjoyed in my favourite watermelon mug, for obvious reasons.

And the day ended with some pasta and very responsible gifts for my boo. He did do the deed for us.
