(12:00PM) Now that I am what you might call a functioning #adult, the whole sleeping in thing you used to do doesn't really happen like it used to. BUT this day, boy I tell you, I sure as hell did. That's right, I slept until noon baby. My guy Tim came in to do his thing, you know, squeeze in the window. I know he's looking kind of cute now but believe you me, this isn't even his final form.
(1:00PM) Around 1 or so, I join my #1 home skillet biscuit (gf) amongst our very bountiful garden! We plan on starting our own compost business. We like to think it's off to a great start (see attached). With all the extra rest I got, I got right to work. If you'd ever have the pleasure of spending time in our backyard, I tell you what, you'd leave with more mosquito bites than you came in with. So I grabbed the HDX 7000 hand pump lawn sprayer, locked and loaded with the Trifecta Natural Outdoor Pest Control and sprayed that chemical x to the high heavens.
(1:45PM) After about 45 mins of weeding and spraying, papas finally got some me time. Next I lock and load my ol' reliable, get some shots of the foliage, and nose dive right into some Dune baby. I came across a passage that, all jokes aside, is all too true. I've thought this for a while now. So when the zombies come, remember my words!!!!
(4:15PM) After a great afternoon outside with my absolute right hand lady (gf), she whips an absolutely sublime white bean chili. It was in fact bussin as the kids would say. I knock this chili back to some good ol Apex. It's times like this I kick back and think, it really is the little things in life!!!
(8:00PM) Me and the cinnamon apple (gf), throw our shoes on and walk right on into the sunset. 10 bonus points to whoever tells me where this photo was taken. I look up and back down and think, this is the first Rita's of the year and I proclaim, the phone did not eat first.
(8:30PM) We decide it's about that time to hit the road. The scenes are immaculate and I must say I am pretty proud to have grown old in this city. The views are endless. Best city in the world, and if you disagree, please step into my office.
(9:45PM) A wise man once said, with great days come great appetites and I had never been more thankful for my friendly neighborhood Super Kitchen cause there is absolutely no way a shrimp fried that rice.
Philly born and bred baby.
