12:24 am i left the house of someone in west philly who i will leave unnamed for their privacy. i took a lyft bc i value not taking public transit alone in the middle of the night more than smart finances. my lyft driver’s car smelled like laundry detergent (one of my favorite scents) and he was playing yoskar sarante.
12:50 am i’m in bed scrolling instagram which is terrible sleep hygiene, i know, but very cozy. my cat (Rupert) is obsessed with sitting on my chest while i do this bedtime ritual.
7:30 am i wake up to my cat head butting me for breakfast. i feed him and then get back in bed because i don’t have work today so i’m allowed to.
10 am i wake up for real this time. i didn’t really know what i wanted to do today so i mooch around the apartment for a bit and make some eggs before deciding moving my body would probably be a good start.
11:30 i get to the gym and chat with chase at the front desk. i’m not really in the mood to boulder today so i decide to lift some weights and run on the treadmill. i meant to keep it chill today but i put on the new doechii album and leave drenched in sweat.
1:30 i finally make it home and shower, do the dishes, and make some pasta for lunch.
3:03 after watching my daily fill of paige bueckers fan edits on tiktok, i do some other house chores. i had planned to go to trader joe’s, but after making my grocery list i decide that can wait until tomorrow.
4:30 my hair is finally dry after my shower, so it’s time to touch up my hair dye. while the chemicals do their magic, i sit on the patio and read my book.
5:30 i sit down on the couch to watch tv. rupert (my cat) lies down on my lap and i promptly fall asleep.
7:30 i do all my “phone chores” aka respond to the texts i ignore all day, update my google calendar, check my email, etc. my friend is coming from out of town in a couple of weeks, so i make a list of potential restaurants for her.
8:15 i change out of my hair dying clothes and go to cvs to pick up my meds. then i stop by my corner store, make some conversation with their cat (@mimithequeen1700) and pick up a vitamin water for tomorrow morning. i think this store has the best bevvie selection and they’re also always so kind.
9:00 i change into my going out clothes and go outside to meet my friend jacob and their friend katie. we try several bars that are too full, before settling on a beer from human robot sĂĽd.
10:40 we head over to the dolphin for lady gaga halloween. the vibes are good even if i realize in real time that i know fewer lady gaga songs than i thought i did. i keep trying to guess people’s costumes and getting them wrong.
11:25 we head out to franky bradley’s, where i am on a quest to get the dj to play no hands. when we arrive, 212 is playing which feels like a good omen for the rest of the night. the night continues, but for the purposes of this project, my day is over.
