3:41 am: wake up to pee. be grateful that I still have 3 hours to sleep.

6:45 am: wake up to my alarm. snooze.

6:50 am: wake up to my alarm. snooze.

6:55 am: wake up to my alarm. snooze.

7:00 am: wake up to my alarm. if you can’t tell by now, i hate waking up more than anything else in the world. actually get up this time because my job is making me go into the office two times a week now. ugh.

7:00 – 7:15 am: hangout with my two cats (cecil and daphne) & procrastinate getting out of bed.

7:15 – 7:45 am: *in an extremely rushed fashion* do my morning routine for an in-office day which consists of:

1.     brush teeth

2.     pour cold brew

3.     wash face

4.     apply niacinamide serum

5.     apply moisturizer

6.     apply sunscreen

7.     do my makeup

8.     pick one of the three work outfits i own & put it on

9.     pack my bag: wallet, cash, phone + charger, laptop + charger, book, lipgloss, sunglasses, gum, emergency anxiety & caffeine pills (two different pills), band aids

10.  say goodbye to the cats and try to make the bus

7:52 am: get on bus 40 westbound @ Lombard & 4th

8:00 am: get off bus. get on broad st line northbound.

8:00 – 8:15 am: attempt to read on the subway but instead end up listening to the debate which is unfortunately blasting from my seatmate’s phone at full volume. i didn’t watch it though so maybe this is my penance for not being tuned in.

8:15 am: get off subway @ cecil b moore (my cat is named after him).

8:20 am: arrive at my office.

8:20 – 9:45 am: get some work done. say hi to everyone that i haven’t talked to in two weeks because i was on vacation.

9:45 am: get breakfast.

10:00 am: enjoy my sausage egg & cheese on an everything bagel w/scallion cream cheese & iced coffee.

10:00 am - 2:00 pm: get work done.

2:00 pm: buy tampons.

2:15 pm: buy lamb over rice with hot sauce & extra white sauce. feel anxious so i don’t eat a ton.

2:30 pm: go into a meeting that ends up being an hour and a half.

4:00 – 4:15 pm: eat more lunch.

4:15 – 5:00 pm: get a marginal amount of work done.

5:10 pm: leave the office & get on bsl southbound. actually read on the subway this time.

5:25 pm: get off subway & walk to whole foods south st.

5:30 pm: arrive at whole foods and feel so happy to do a full grocery shop for the first time in weeks. feel so happy again because i got my bonus at the end of august, and decide to not worry (too much) about prices & just get what i want.

5:55 pm: check out & feel regret because the cost of a week’s worth of groceries at whole foods is about $120 when you don’t worry (too much) about prices.

6:00 – 6:20 pm: walk home & feel regret for getting so many groceries when i have to walk 8 blocks home. put down my grocery bags about once every block. breathe. try to take in my surroundings & things in my neighborhood because i love living here more than anywhere else i’ve ever lived, and that matters a lot to me.

6:20 pm: arrive home! yay!

6:20 – 6:25 pm: spray my cat with water continuously for trying to eat the cheddar cheese.

6:25 pm: give up on that.

6:30 – 7:00 pm: make myself a mediterranean-inspired meal <3

7:00 – 7:15 pm: eat said meal. YUM!

7:15 – 8:00 pm: chat with my roommate/bestfriend about random things because i haven’t seen her much in the past two weeks.

8:05 pm: go upstairs & get sad because i remember we are parting ways with our living situations after our lease is up.

8:10 pm: get happy because i remember i still have almost a year of living with her before that happens.

8:10 – 8:30 pm: go on my phone.

8:30 – 9:50 pm: make bracelets & fix some of my bracelets that were broken. listen to magdalena bay’s new album (again).

9:50 – 11:00 pm: go on my phone & hang w the cats again.

11:00 – 11:45 pm: do my nighttime routine, which consists of:

1.     shower

2.     floss

3.     brush teeth

4.     mouthwash

5.     apply niacinamide serum

6.     apply moisturizer

7.     take nightly pills

 

11:45 pm: go to sleep. goodnight philadelphia ! <3
