6/2/24 - It’s a Sunday and Sundays usually make me feel icky but today feels okay

-me and my bf sleep in until 11am. I usually have bad dreams but I didn’t last night, and in fact I can’t remember what I dreamt about at all. so the days starting off on a good note :)

-we rush to get ready so he can get to work on time. He makes my bed, I feed my kitty and we leave.

-I drive him to the BSL. I’ll see him later

-I get coffee then head to my friend Unique’s house. She’s packing her house to move and doesn’t see my text that I’m at the door. I go back to my car and listen to music and scroll my phone for 20 minutes

-she eventually lets me in and we briefly gather her things before going to FDR park for the southeast Asian market

-we don’t get southeast Asian food but there’s another tent selling pupusas, so we get those and watermelon to share

-we sit on the lifeguard chairs and watch the ducks. There’s three of them, cleaning themselves and taking naps together. This reminds me that I keep seeing things in 3’s recently

-an older woman approaches us and asks if we are guarding the water. We say no, we just want to sit in the chairs. She nervously laughs and apologizes for saying anything. She tells us that she’s depressed and the doctor told her to walk 45 minutes a day. She’s walked 10 so far. I think we felt unsure what to say - we congratulate her - unique tells her it’s good to be in the sun. The woman apologizes and laughs nervously again. She says she won’t bother us anymore and walks away. Unique and I sit silently for a few seconds after she leaves and then look at eachother and say, “well, that was sad”.

-we talk on the lifeguard chairs for awhile about things. We leave, I have to pee, I use the porta potty. I’m glad in this moment that I have hand sanitizer in my car.   

-we drive to Pop’s. I get cookie dough ice cream which I wouldn’t normally get.

-we sit across the street and eat our ice cream. I sing it’s not over by daughtry and I’m a terrible singer and Unique hates it

-we drive back to her house and look at her yearbook. I’m trying to find my bf who went to her high school. Unique’s senior picture is her holding a football and that makes me laugh.

-she’s tired, I leave. I’m also tired. I go home and take a 30 minute nap. 

-I wait for my bf to get off of work. I pick up him from the BSL. 

-we get food and go back to my house. We take a shower and talk for awhile before going to sleep.

-I only smoked one cigarette today :)
