Lydia
9:30 am โ Woke up a little later than usual (had gone to bed late after watching a few too many episodes of Rizzoli & Isles). The blurry, โnight modeโ photo features my cat Nellie who often wakes me up by coming to lay on my chest.
10:15 โ Up and at โem. Nellie has moved to her bed and I start to make coffee. The Madrid mug ended up being a little too small, so I transferred it to the Paris mug. (I collect Starbucks mugs from cities that I visit.)
10:30 โ got a package from Amazon. We were in desperate need of more hand soap, and I got one of those plastic arm-like massage tools for back and neck pain. It is phenomenal.
As I am unpacking and testing and Nellie is resting in her bed, her brother, Gerzie, is sleeping in his carrier. He had to go to the vet yesterday but loves the carrier so much we have not been able to put it away. He is almost always inside it.
2:30 pm โ ate a late lunch. Spinach and gruyere chicken sausage, asparagus, and rice with lentils. Forgot to take a picture of it before I was almost done.
4:00 โ Started work. Wanted some extra structure to my week during the summer, so I am working at the gym in my apartment building.
7:30 pm โ The job is fairly lax so I get to do a lot of reading; Iโm averaging about 5 books a week. Just finished one โ Paris by the Book (3.5 stars).
7:50 โ had a snack of veggie straws. Once again, forgot to take a picture.
8:00 โ My new planner arrived for the 2024-2025 school year. Have done a bullet journal for the past 8 years but thought I would try a pre-made system this year. I designed it using Agendio. Biggest concern was whether or not the paper would be fountain pen friendly; so far so good.
8:50 โ started a new book.
11:00 pm โ Got off work.
11:20 pm โ back on the couch, basically where I started the day. A cat on my lap and watching an episode of Rizzoli & Isles
