Hey everyone! 

*Today is my entry day, and tomorrow marks the 4 year anniversary of me and my badass long distance boyfriend Kevin, so I was hoping to share a little about how Philly helped build our relationship on this forum in addition to details about my day. 

Well, here goes nothing:

~10:45(ish) Starting off today in my favorite way: waking up late, throwing some sweats and sunglasses on and heading to Shot Tower coffee shop, where Kevin and I run into Molly- the star of this project! Not the first time that I have run into her there as it is the coffee hub of Queen Village after all.

~11:30(ish) Back at home chilling on my bed, Kevin is watching the Liverpool/Chelsea final as I attempt to get this entry started, as well as some work related things done (bleh).

 “Joe Gomez you suck!”- prompts me to put my noise canceling headphones on… I can only be interested in British men playing soccer for so long…you know?

→ Anyways, Kevin and I met our senior year of undergrad near Boston, where he currently lives. After the pandemic, I started my journey of becoming a physical therapist and started in May 2021 at Jefferson, so obviously moved here to Philly. Uh oh, long distance?! Daunting asf. 

Thankfully his remote work has allowed us to see each other about every month, during which we got to explore and know Philly pretty well, and really fall in love with it. 

Here are a couple of our Philly adventures:

Waiting outside of Molly’s poetry reading to congratulate her on finishing her degree (by the time we part ways at the end of our lease, we will have both  seen each other through the entirety of our degrees… crazy how time flies):

Ringing in the New Year in old city:

12:29- Game still on… 0-0 I guess. 

12:38- Update- Liverpool just scored, and won (?) Yay!

After this we went into Passyunk to do a little bit of shopping + shenans;

16:22- Just showered, getting ready for a fancy anniversary dinner

…

21:27- finally managed to get a photo of us, ending our Sunday of celebrations
