Margaret B.

7:30 am I wake up to the alarm I was so convinced wouldn’t bother me only 6 hours before, but it is a busy day so unfortunately a sleepy Sunday in bed is not on the agenda. My boyfriend and I get ready and wave goodbye to Banana, my roommate's cat. We drove to the suburbs of Philadelphia where I grew up and visited the Spirit Halloween in the skeleton of what was once the Bed Bath and Beyond I knew. We drove around the town I grew up to see all the sights and make sure nothing had changed too much.  It’s no more than 5 minutes from Philadelphia county but I don’t visit as often as I should.

9am After breakfast at the diner from my high school days, we set up for the surprise party for one of my best friends.

11a Her sister arrives and the party begins. It’s a fairy themed party with close friends and amazing gluten-free lunch and pastries. Everyone is dressed for the theme with a few folks in their Eagles gear for the 1pm home game against Cleveland.

2p We say our goodbyes to a few and plan to meet in an hour at Our/Out Festival with a few others and some members from my friends rugby team. The drive back to the city was mainly focused on the Eagles game but as usual the Art Museum near my house looked so beautiful in the golden Philadelphia fall light.

3p After a quick outfit change we headed out to Our/Out Festival for an hour or two before my friend and I had to work on Sunday night. I saw a few friends at OurFest and more I couldn’t make it to meet up with but were also there having a great time. We mainly hung out at the stage in front of Franky Bradley’s dancing with the crowd and with all the people leaving the stadium in their green in such a good mood, it felt like the whole city was having a perfect Sunday.  The air was warm and the vibes were good and it was such a  great day to be out and about in Philadelphia. After leaving Franky’s area we checked out the newly rebranded Tabu now 254 Bar, but not much had changed inside.

5:30 I said goodbye to my friends, and headed to work at my job in Northern Liberties. It was a private event at a bar and bowling alley and it went quickly and ended early which was a relief after a long day.

11:30 We play a few rounds of pool after the party ends with my coworkers and I order my Lyft home to kiss Banana goodnight.
