Matt

6:30 AM

I started my day like a lot of south Philadelphians, moving my illegally parked car before the PPA wake up. This special time of the day allows for deep reflection not only about finding a spot but my life choices.

It's a Friday Morning; usually, I would be on my way to school.  I teach World history to a bunch of teenagers who don't want to learn about World history, it's a daily struggle.

Like any teacher at this point in the year. I am very tired and I'm in need of a lil break.  I took the day off to enjoy the fall weather and to become sane again.

6:45

Awake now I figured it would be as good a time as any to get some work done. Planning a lesson on the Great Wall of China was a labor of love. Honestly, I'm glad I had the time to get this done before the rest of the weekend.

9:20

The day's plans have been set for a little while now. Head to Morris Arboretum to take a look at some pretty plants. But breakfast is needed. My girlfriend and I head to the Tasty for some delectable Veggie-friendly breakfast. I have a breakfast burrito with tempeh bacon with a black coffee. It was perfect.

10:30

We arrive at the Arboretum, and the weather is simply perfect. We touch some grass and take in the landscape.

1:09 We head into Chestnut Hill for some window shopping and to daydream about homeownership.

I have a very underwhelming iced lavender coffee and a pretty solid Almond croissant.

3:00

I head home for a much-needed cat nap with my cat before getting dinner together.

6:04

Leftovers from Rosh Hashanah are on the menu. Gefilte fish and premorski salad. I tried to plate my dinner in a fancy way to make the fish look better but there is no way to make Gefilte Fish appealing. Enjoy this creative plating.

The night ends with Field of Dreams to herald in Red October with Apple strudel more delicious leftovers.

Another day in Philly is in the books.
