Olive

june 21. i started my day feeling completely chopped and screwed at philadelphia international airport. actually the day technically started for me somewhere over ohio but we don't need to go there. luckily i remembered that it's my Day In Philly so i took this mirror pic:

my boyfriend picked me up even though that meant having to find parking in south philly at 1 am. what a gentleman. i immediately went to sleep when we got home, and then woke up six hours later to find that, due to being too whimsical and fancy-free in mexico, i was suffering from horrific food poisoning. to add insult to injury, our landlord recently had mini-split AC units installed (yayyy) but they stopped working almost immediately while i was out of town (booo) so between the heat dome and the meat sweats, i was feeling pretty fried.

i'll be honest i spent the entire first half of this day in bed watching mormon mom tiktok content because of my various afflictions, so i don't have much to report from like 7 am-12 pm. but thanks to the healing powers of nara smith, i was able to rally in the afternoon. my coworker who lives in tennessee was randomly in town so we met up at phs popup garden on south street and had some drinkies. aaand i forgot to take pics :(

i came home to find my annoying ass haunted doll named heart hanging out somewhere i had not left her. so i had to put her back in her spot and give her a stern talking to. [heart was given to me last fall by a stranger at a circus and i simply cannot shake the girl. if anyone reading this wants a haunted doll please let me know.]

after that i got a burst of creative energy and had to make these Health Bowls. yum! then it was time to drive to maryland for my friend's solstice party. i made this collage of some pics on the long walk to my car so you could get a sense of the vibe, plus i thought this angel and i had the same haircut:

thanks for reading about my Day In Philly! i think it's fitting that it starts and ends not in philly, because this city makes me restless. but overall it's a nice enough place to go about your day.
