Sara G

day after boyfriend's birthday

i cut up some spam, add to leftover breakfast tacos

a slow morning, finally-

life goes so fast.

i watch my cat tuesday play with her toy on a sunday

she finds joy, on her own.

i have time before meeting my friends

what can i do?

always- what can i do?

laundry- laundry. oh yes, laundry

ikea bag, rainbow clothes, detergent, quarters...

quarters? do we have cash for quarters?

we do- a breath. we do.

i walk outside, toward the laundromat

i am grateful every day that it is so close.

it's so strangely warm-

i text my boyfriend- it's so warm outside.

after laundry, rush to meet my friends

eat a banana on the way.

we eat at mango mango, i get the mango sticky rice w/ice cream

condensed milk feels so lush on this warm day.

we go to happy diy on 9th st

pick colors, beads, charms, frosting to decorate phone cases.

i feel overwhelmed, but in a good way

the colors we choose look like powerpuff girl colors, my friend says-

blue, pink, and green.

we walk around chinatown after, picking snacks and treats

i get sleepy, on the bus back to south-

them to grays ferry, me to newbold

i stop for a soda, get boyfriend an empanada at the corner store

come home, the rest of the night is hard

i didn't prepare for something, and lean 90% toward not doing it

but anxiety keeps me in the middle.

falling asleep feels hard-

i ask myself, what can i do?

always- what can i do?

a breath. i do.
