6:30am - I am awake before my alarm. This is typically how most of my mornings go. I lie in my sheets until I slowly feel awake enough to begin my day. While in bed, I do my best attempts at the NYT Connections and Mini.

7:00am - My alarm goes off. I decide to hit snooze and lie down for a few more minutes.

7:20am - Snooze alarm. I'm up this time. I turn on some music while I get ready for my day. I decide I'll listen to Third Eye Blind's hit song "Never Let You Go" today.

7:35am - I am downstairs, preparing my breakfast, coffee and packing my lunch. "Never Let You Go" has played 3 times in its entirety by the time I have gotten downstairs. For breakfast, I made a smoothie consisting of frozen mango (courtesy of my roommate Audrey), frozen pineapple, banana, homemade greek yogurt, coconut water, turmeric, ginger and chili powder. Coffee is from a batch of cold brew I made a few days earlier. Lunch is just brown rice, black beans, broccoli, Moroccan spiced chicken and goat cheese. While getting all of this ready, "Never Let You Go" has played 8 times in-full.

8:19am - I get in my car and drive to the Navy Yard. I take 17th the whole way down to Oregon since Broad St. is being repaved. It's an easy drive. I got to listen to "Never Let You Go" 4 more times by the time I got to work.

8:35am - I walk into the studio, get to my desk and begin taking inventory of everything I need to do. There are a bunch of people already in the studio so I can't listen to "Never Let You Go" right now.

9:30am - Meeting with a merchandise assistant on the buying team over at the cafe on campus. I've already finished my coffee by the time we have this meeting. I heard "Never Let You Go" by Third Eye Blind twice on my walk over.

10:15am - Walk back to the studio. The entire time I was sitting in the cafe "Never Let You Go" by Third Eye Blind never played. I listen to it on my walk back. Twice.

10:25am -โ€“ 11:30am - I am planning a pet model shoot for next week that would feature holiday specific product so I had to make sure that all the samples called for in the shoot were still in the studio. My team is pretty social so there was no time to listen to "Never Let You Go".

11:30am โ€“ 12:10pm - Our company is hosting a "Fall Fest" in one of our outdoor communal spaces. My team broke early to go over and see what the goodies were: free cider, canned coffee, food from local vendors. There was a DJ playing but he was not taking requests. Most of my team packed their lunch so we made our way back to our studio to eat our meals.

12:10pm โ€“ 1:00pm - Ate lunch with my team outside.

1:00pm โ€“ 2:00pm - I checked in on the sets we have running to make sure everything is going smoothly. Could not hear Third Eye Blind's # 14 on the Billboard 100 Hit "Never Let You Go" during this.

2:00pm โ€“ 3:45pm - I had spent the earlier part of the week looking at prospective pooches for our pet model shoot and now needed to block out the schedule for them to come into the studio. Due to poor optimization, I had to switch back and forth between Excel sheets, but on the bright side I got to hear "Never Let You Go" by San Francisco's own Third Eye Blind a total of 26 times while I was working on this.

3:45pm - I get back to my desk and double check any loose ends that may be needed and gather myself.

4:10pm - I finish my day early and drive back home. I decide to take 16th up to Point Breeze so that I can avoid Broad St.

4:26pm - Park on my street and walk in the door. Traffic is always worse coming home so it took my 8 listens of NLYG ("Never Let You Go") to get home.

4:26pm โ€“ 5:30pm - I take in the silence of my surroundings and take a nap upstairs in my room.

5:30pm โ€“ 6:18pm - I tidy up my room a bit and then leave for my friend Chad's. I heard Stephan Douglas Jenkins sing about never letting you go 12 more times while I was cleaning.

6:18pm - 6:42pm - I arrive at Chad's place near Rittenhouse. Our friend Alejandro is already there so we all catchup while we wait for other friends to arrive. I did not tell anyone that "Never Let You Go" played 4 times in a row while I was walking over.

7:20pm - Everyone else arrives and we chat for a bit. Someone jumps onto the DJ board sitting on Chad's kitchen island and a bunch of us go over to the television to play games. We start to joke that the hangout is an incubation session since a lot of people are working on projects/trying out new things.

10:00pm - It's late so I say my goodbyes and start walking home. I was entranced by some string lights illuminating an alleyway canopy and end up taking a longer walk than usual. By the time I get home "Never Let You Go" played 7 times.

10:30pm - I arrive home and catch up with Audrey on the couch. We talk about our days and then I make my way upstairs to get ready for bed. I do this in complete silence.

11:00pm - Time for shut eye. By the end of my day I had listened to 90's sensation Third Eye Blind's "Never Let You Go" 76 times.
