Chuck Booth

3 am - Falling asleep I have an internal debate about when the day started for these entries but since it’s after midnight on the 29th for an accurate representation, when I went to sleep should be included.

8 am - Five hours later, I awaken for real mostly thanks to the help of my kitten Alphonse who likes to walk across my face every morning when he wants company that’s moving. As the time that I went to sleep would suggest, I was not at all ready for this at all

9:15 am - finally decide to leave bed to the joy and dismay of Alphonse since while it means that he gets food, he also wanted to continue cuddling. Also, around now I reallize that after the holiday gauntlet, this is my first day without events planned in weeks which is an interesting challenge for this project.

10:39 am - Generally, I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions but my friend Tim messages me with an idea to join him in deleting Grindr and other dating apps as a New Year's resolution so that we can be accountability buddies in the process. While this is quite a terrifying prospect entering 2025 single and about to turn 30, he makes good points so I decide to join him in this endeavor. (Keep me in your thoughts please or alternatively message me on Instagram lmao)

11:23 am - I finally have had it with putzing around the apartment so I start playing JPEGMAFIA to get ready for the day.

11:30 am - Not long after I hear a crash come from the living room as the chaotic king Alphonse has decided that it’s time to knock the pot of succulents that he has been eating out of the window completely. While I asked for things to happen today, that’s not what I had in mind…

12:48 pm - Cleaning has been completed and plenty of people have already proclaimed Alphonse innocent in his crime but I finally am a human at this point and consume the first meal of the day, a frozen burrito. It was underwhelming

3:05 pm - Much later than expected I finally leave the apartment, which means it’s time for a  fit check

3:12 pm - Stepping outside, I immediately marvel at how damn warm it is (63 degrees) on December 29, we're doomed y'all.

3:16 pm - Starting to put my Christmas gifts to use I head out to Rival Bros to secure coffee (I only enjoy their direct drip coffee and espresso) and a cinnamon bun to fuel me during the wandering session that’s upcoming. I head north and end up going to South and 9th st before coming back down. During this time, I’m not sure why but I feel like I could burst into tears at any moment.

En route on the walk fully caffeinated.

4:17 pm  - Still wandering, I come across a weave on the street and as always I begin to wonder about the stories that it could tell if it could talk.

4:36 pm - Back home time to remind the cat that I didn't forget about him with some cuddles.

6:44 pm - What was supposed to be chilling for a sec became nap time as half the time when the cat climbs on my chest and I’m not allowed to move, it leads to me falling asleep especially when I’m running on little to no sleep.

7:18 pm - Dinner time at the Booth residence. From a Christmas party this weekend, I had leftover gnocchi, homemade sauce and meatballs that I was sent home from that party with which was amazing. Alphonse had his customary slop and as always, the stinkier the food, the more that he enjoys it.

8:15 pm - Stuffed from dinner, I turn on Sunday night football place a few bets on the Spurs game later, and start tidying up/ editing this entry ahead of the week. At this point, I thought that the interesting points of the day would be coming to a close but the Falcons found another dumb way to lose a football game and thanks to Wemby scoring 30+ I was able to cover most of my weekend escapades by 11 pm on a Sunday 🙂.

Fin - Now it’s time to see when I eventually make it to sleep since the Sunday scaries don’t exist in my world because I don’t work on Mondays.
