Khaylae

I figured I’d show my day through the music I listened to today. It wasn’t really a picture worthy day, I just worked at home. I also washed my hair and was too lazy to do anything with it so I’m giving the little girl off of Polar Express. You know the one I’m talking about.

Okay so I’m gonna go in order so you can get the experience

  1. Punk Tactics by Joey Valence & Brae- Now I know. The fuck (can I curse on here) am I doing listening to that straight off the wake up?? I don’t know but those were the wake up vibes today

  2. Drop!! By Joey Valence & Brae- This one just naturally came on since it’s next on the album. It’s not bad though just not my fav

  3. Called It Love by Gen Neo- Now we’re getting into our R&B bag. Whatever happened to men begging for women on songs??? Remember when Tyrese would fall to his knees in the rain wearing the smedium-est of shirts singing his little heart out? Where are all the lover boys?

  4. Send Your Loving by Ama Louise- I sent my loving to a boy once but he just showed all his friends. Amazing song though and she looks great on the cover

  5. Smoking in the Park (Paradise) by Tone Smith- One of my first times “sneaking out” to meet with a boy alone, I was 16 (maybe), it was late at night, and we ended up smoking in the park. He was not cute and I was terrified I’d get caught but I wanted the attention and free weed

  6. Call by Reggie Becton & Nana- For some reason his voice reminds me of my childhood, almost like I’ve heard his voice before

  7. oh my love by FKA twigs- I’ve never really gotten into FKA twigs but this song is so so good. She’s like one of those artists who I saw and was like wow I want to listen to her cause I can tell bad bitches like her music

  8. Two Night by Tierra Whack- I’d hate it if I just paid a bill and then I died the next day. Give me my money back bitch

  9. Cold Hearted by Paula Abdul- GET INTO THIS SONG. Everyday I wish I had been around to do coke in the 80’s. They would’ve had to drag me out of the clubs

  10.  Hoe Cakes by MF DOOM- I just love everytime he says “super”. It also samples Sweet Love by Anita Baker which is my jam

  11. Wildflower by Billie Eilish- I know everyone loves Birds of a Feather but this is definitely the best song on the album. The bridge?! Crazy.

  12. Shades of Cool by Lana Del Rey- Speaking of bridges, most amazing bridge ever. I don’t care what anyone says. Best song on Ultraviolence, one of my favorite songs of forever. That music video changed my brain chemistry. Swimming in some rich older man’s pool, drinking his champagne and eating fresh strawberries while I look hot and tortured in the southern California sun? Life couldn’t get any better than that

  13. Casual by Chappell Roan- If you didn’t know, the creator of this project is my roommate and she put me on to Chappell Roan. I’ve been listening to this album for the past 2 weeks. I know it’s supposed to be a sad song about a situationship but honestly it sounds nice. We get to fuck in the bathroom, you’re eating me out in the passenger seat, free trip to your mom’s house in Long Beach AND I don’t even have to call you my boyfriend?? Seems like an ideal set up to me

  14. Sweet Honey Buckin’ by Beyonce- You can never go wrong with Beyonce. I used to be a Beyonce hater because my mom is but I’ve since seen the light and have been reformed

  15. U My Everything by Sexxy Red & Drake- BBL Drizzy lives on

  16. Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar- I mean he’s not wrong. Sometimes you do in fact have to pop out and show niggas

  17. Linger by The Cranberries- This song has been running my tiktok rampant but it is a great song

  18. That’s What You Get by Paramore- I once told my friend the only/first rock band that most black people know and fuck with is Paramore. She said that wasn’t true. I quickly proved her wrong by asking every black person within 100 feet of me

  19. The Curse of Curves by Cute Is What We Aim For- I went down memory lane a little bit. It was 2007, my side part damn near touched my ear, my ends were heat damaged to hell and my jeans were so low rise my ass was out

  20. Voyage to Atlantis by The Isley Brothers- So fun fact I used to be addicted to Tumblr and (I’m gonna get vulnerable here) I used to read fanfiction all the time. They mostly revolved around super fine drug dealers and how they got the quiet smart neighborhood girl involved in their debauchery and shenanigans. He’d inevitably get in some trouble that’d put her in harm's way, so he’d have to go out and kill a minimum 5 people then they’d live happily ever after in hood bliss. Anyways this song was mentioned in a fanfic I read once and I’ve been obsessed ever since

  21. Something in my Heart by Michel’le- You can catch me on any given day belting this song at the top of my lungs. Michel’le can sing her ass off

  22. Forever My Lady by Jodeci- I love the show Martin and in one episode his neighbor Sheneneh Jenkins wins a date with Kid from Kid n Play. She brings him over to her place trying to seduce him and he basically calls her ugly and runs off. She gets sad and then he feels bad and comes back. She quickly resets the mood and puts on this song but remixes it to Forever Sheneneh. I love Martin

  23. Brujeria by El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico- When I hear this song I think of my mom and my grandma. My mom would play this almost every Saturday when we had to clean the house. She laughs every time I try to sing it because I completely butcher the pronunciation. Sometimes I do it just to make her smile

So that was it. Kind of didn’t listen to a lot of music because I was very very busy watching reality tv and spiraling about which credit card to apply for. I was gonna be cute and put it all in a playlist for y’all but y’all know how technology works. You can do it yourselves, I believe in you. (jk im a virgo so i have to do the absolute most. heredamn) Anyways if you read this dump of words, thank you!
