It's Saturday at 7:15am. The sun is shining through our windows as my first alarm goes off. I immediately thought to myself, "why did you schedule an 8am workout on a Saturday?" I am proud of myself for not hitting snooze and making it out of bed after one alarm. This rarely happens! I throw some workout clothes on and make my way up 7th Street to Tuck Barre & Yoga, which is my go-to barre studio. They have a new mural being painted outside which brings some color to my morning.
I had a great workout and felt rejuvenated on the walk back towards my apartment. I called my husband and asked if he wanted me to pick up coffee and bagels from Essen, which of course he said yes to.
We enjoy our breakfast together before he heads off to band practice in the suburbs. I have a long day of Spring cleaning ahead of me! Music blasting through the Sonos will get me through the dusting, scrubbing and vacuuming. The (slightly chaotic) playlist I have on:

After hours of cleaning and a much needed shower, I make my way to Charles Santore Library to pick up my next book.
I got home and immediately dove in (while drinking more coffee, of course). I could've sat and read this book until tomorrow but decided that it was time to get ready for the evening. PSA: Read The Sicilian Inheritance! Jo Piazza is also a Philadelphia-based author.
My husband gets home from band practice and we decide to head out to our neighborhood spot: Royal Tavern.
The Royal Tavern burger may be one of the best in the city (another fave is Fountain Porter) and I ate it way too fast to snap a pic. I did, however, enjoy a delicious skin contact wine.
After dinner, my cousin and our other friend met us at Royal Tavern to enjoy a few more drinks, which then led us to having a nightcap at The Dive. Highly recommend ending your Saturday this way every now and then.
