Miriam

Today I learned about Richard Serra’s Verb List so I made my own list based on my day.

The right songs came on at the right time:

Zach Cooper’s Hi Viz Cantalope was the soundtrack to my morning oracle deck inquiry (the cards said I needed to fail) and a good dose of Kol Isha accompanied me on my commute home after a long day with Shaindel Antelis’s Something About You (Shema Kolanu).

I returned home to devour some pawpaws.

Lately, Miriam has been making inks with the flowers that survived in their garden, resting their sick body, grieving, and writing poems about Jewish ritual and the World to Come. They resist the fascist normalization of individual comfort over collective safety by wearing a mask in public, and hope you will, too.
