1:04am-i guess it’s technically my journal day now! my husband and i just booked our first leg of our year-long trip around the world. 10 years in Philly are coming to an end this month- the best and worst moments of my life have all happened within a 5 mile radius of here. While I’m unbelievably excited to build my life in a new country, Philly will always be part of me. Feeling all the feels tonight, so I’m gonna smoke some weed and watch a show.

3:09am- we just finished watching an episode of murder at the end of the world. time for bed, goodnight!

12:08pm - i’m awake now, probably didn’t fall asleep until 4ish. i spent the first 20 minutes of my morning snuggling with my dog, Mika. she snores so loud.

12:40- time to go for a fam walk! i got an iced dirty chai from one shot cafe. one of the baristas here seems like a rad human being. maybe I would try to make a new friend if I wasn’t leaving forever at the end of the month 🤷🏻‍♀️  

1:34 - getting on the train to go to reading terminal for some diner food & donuts!! 

3:17pm - home sweet home with donuts secured. i ate a turkey bacon grilled cheese at the amish diner and spent time people watching. there are so many intriguing people in the world, i really wish i could read their minds. I was wearing my kuffiya (traditional palestinian scarf) and got called a “terrorist bitch” by a random white woman, which absolutely cracked me up. I think they get more mad when you laugh at them.  

4:13pm - I called a few of my friends & family in Palestine to check in on them.

 6:39pm - i smoked a little weed and read for a while after those calls. i tried to go back to the throne of glass series but i just can’t get into it, so i need to search for a new book. khalid and mika are both snuggling with me and watching basketball. 

 8:02pm - i made chicken shawarma last night so we ate leftovers for dinner. i really outdid myself on this dish yesterday, it’s delicious. khalid and i played some uno after. 

 11:58pm - wrapping up the night playing fall guys with Khalid! 

Natalie is just a human. You can find her walking her dog around Fishtown or at Meyers bingo night.
